The public works project included the new ground-up construction of a 13,400 sf Sailing Center and 11,000 sf Community Center. Both two-story buildings are adjoined by two sky-walk balconies. A major focal point at the center is the glass-paned lighthouse that holds a quaint cafe on the ground floor. In addition to the beachfront location, the site also holds boat docking space, an innovative children’s playground, tot-lot, and miniature lighthouse. Marina Park was constructed to meet LEED Silver rating requirements.
