Henkel Project SuccessKPRS Construction Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the swift completion of the Henkel Corporation tenant improvement project on August 12, 2010. KPRS successfully finished the project one day ahead of the rapid 5-month construction schedule. Henkel North America, a unit of Germany’s Henkel AG, is up and operating in the new 77,626-square-foot office building at the Jamboree Business Center in Irvine. The three story build-out, designed by Ware Malcomb, includes a great deal of lab space which is used for adhesive research and development. Office facilities, a training room and an employee cafeteria are additional features of this tenant… Read Full Story | Article Posted on: 2010-08-27KPRS Project Participates in New Sustainable Sites InitiativeKPRS's Magnolia Power Plant project for Burbank Water and Power has been selected as one of the first landscapes to participate in the Sustainable Sites Initiative™ (SITES™) Pilot program, a new program testing the nation’s first rating system for green landscape design, construction and maintenance.The Burbank Water and Power project was selected based on its extensive environmentally friendly elements, from its high-efficiency heat recovery steam generator, down to the shared bikes that are provided throughout the plant's campus for employee transportation. The ceremony included a welcome by Rio Hondo College President, Ted Martinez, Jr., Ph.D., remarks by members of the board of trustees and construction highlights of the projects. The 170,000-square foot project was designed by Ehrlich Architects and is expected to be completed in Fall 2011. The center was in need of many modifications, most of which were exterior carpentry, landscaping and painting.
