Montclair Youth Center Dedication Ceremony KPRS and the City of Montclair celebrated the Grand Opening of the new $2.7 million Montclair Youth Center on January 28, 2010. The 8,000-square-foot project transformed the old Police Station into a positive space for children and teens to relax after school. The project architect, WLC Architects, designed the facility with a cyber cafe, computer lab, homework areas, arts-and-crafts room as well as a snack bar. The favorite feature for the children is sure to be the game room, which includes foosball, air hockey and pool tables. "I know this space will be for the youth to learn, explore, be safe and more importantly have fun," Mayor Paul Eaton said. At the opening ceremony, Vince Bakulich, KPRS Senior Project Manager, spoke about the great experience he had working on the project with the City of Montclair, “Public works are a big part of what KPRS is doing in 2010 and the Montclair Youth Center is one example of this. We appreciated the opportunity to work with the Construction Manager, John Goller, throughout this process. His professionalism while representing the city made the project run smoothly.” KPRS is still hard at work overseeing the successful construction of two additional projects for the City of Montclair. The new Montclair Senior Center and the Montclair Park Renovations are scheduled for completion in August and November of 2010 respectively. Posted On:2010-03-01 Back To News
